1997 Wayne Gretzky vs. Mario Lemieux Final Match Signed Game Used Stick!

It was the final face-off at Madison Square Garden between two of hockey’s greatest when Wayne Gretzky and the New York Rangers hosted Mario Lemieux’s Pittsburgh Penguins in March of 1997. Emotional for all, the evening was made a little lighter by a Gretzky goal and a Rangers victory. Offered is a stick used by Gretzky in that historic game and signed by both “The Great One” and his superstar rival Lemieux. The custom-made “Gretzky” graphics Easton Silvertip aluminum stick is stamped “Gretzky” on the lower portion of the shaft. Coding on the knob reads “Pitt, NHL 948” with the game’s date. Tape was removed from the blade to accommodate the blue sharpie inscription and signatures: “To Mike, Thanks for Everything, Wayne Gretzky, 99, 1997” and “Mario Lemieux” with the date “March 24, 1997”. The stick was gifted by Wayne to a friend and former member of the Rangers training staff. A gorgeous Gretzky gamer with excellent provenance and a matching pair of spectacular signatures from a historic evening!
