Alexander Ovechkin Pink Game Used Stick - Pink Breast Cancer
Used in Practice and Warm-ups on March 18th, 2006 vs. Florida Panthers (Rookie Season) - Photo Match
Used to commemorate Breast Cancer Awareness

On March 17,18 and 19, most NHL players used pink hockey sticks in games, practices and warm-ups in a tribute to hockey moms and to raise funds for and awareness of breast cancer. The concept came about two months after Hockey Great Wayne Gretzky's mom (Phyllis) passed away. More than 300 TPS sticks have been painted pink and were used by some of Hockey's biggest stars.

These unique, one-of-a-kind game used pink hockey sticks were then signed and auctioned off through Frameworth.com. The money raised was donated for breast cancer research.

The stick is fully taped on the knob and blade, and a beautiful signature in black sharpie was added after Ovechkin used this stick.
